Challenge Entry

Kim at Kimberli's Creations is having a challenge to celebrate reaching 100 followers!  And now she has surpassed that goal and is adding more goodies to her giveaway.  Congrats to Kimberli for reaching and surpassing 100!  The challenge is to make a project using a Cricut cartridge that you've barely used, and link it up to her post by August 18.  So you still have time to enter!  She's giving away the Preserves cartridge to the lucky winner!

This challenge was easy for me since I have SEVERAL cartridges that I have never used.  So I made this card using A Child's Year.  I'm going to love this cart.  The cuts are so adorable!  And I also used a barely used cartridge, Elegant Edges.

Recipe for this card:
White card base, size 5" x 6.5"
Black and white patterned background cut at 1/4" smaller
Oblong Frame from Elegant Edges, pg. 53, cut at 6"
Red gems at top and bottom of frame.
Girl & Cat from A Childs Year, pg. 61, cut at 3.5"
Popped up the girl on the frame
Popped up the frame on the card
Here's a side view so you can see that better.

I love this card, and can't wait to cut more images from A Child's Year.  I'm going to also link this up to You Had Me at Craft Linky Party.  Your comments are welcomed and appreciated.  TFL! -- Pat

  3. You know...I don't own this cart. Let me know after you use it a few time if I should consider getting it. Great card with the kitty and mathing sentiment. Come stop by. I changed my background.
