Looking for umbrella ideas, I really liked this cute bird I found on the 3 Birds on Parade Cricut cartridge.

Fiskars cloud punch
Wooden stamp from Joann's
Foam squares to pop up the bird and sentiment

Apple Dandy!

Hi Everyone!

It's Tuesday and time for
another challenge at

This week's challenge is...
Use an apple

I used Country Life for the apples which were cut at 3-1/4" for this A2 size card.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Amber Autumn.  Stitched label die from My Creative Time, and I added 3 flower button brads.  All the cardstock was from my scraps file except for the plaid paper--I took that from the matstack.

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week.

You'll have one week to create your card, layout or altered project, using an APPLE.  Please be sure to use a die-cut and link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog site.

Thanks for stopping by; I appreciate your visits.

I'd like to enter my card into these challenges:
Paper Playtime - use apples!
Bitten by the Bug2- Fall theme
Little Scrap Pieces - anything goes Fun Friday Linky Party
Hiding in my Craft Room - Super Scraps Saturday

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #112

Happy Tuesday!

It's Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #112...

FLOWERS

I am ready to have some pretty flowers in my yard.  Since the weather is still borderline chilly, I can at least enjoy some flowers on a card!

I used my Paper Lace Cricut cartridge, a cart I rarely use, but certainly should.  It has some very intricate images, but this was one of the simpler cuts.  I think it makes for a quick card.

Our sponsor this week is is stampingscrapping

Come join the challenge this week

You'll have one week to enter your card, layout, or altered project using FLOWERS in your creation.  Remember that you must also use a die-cut somewhere in your project and be sure to link your post back to the DCD blog.

Can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #98

Welcome to Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #98.

This week's challenge is to use a penguin in your project.

I chose the penguin from the Jolly Holidays cartridge--isn't it just so cute?  Since he (or she) was holding the umbrella, I just had to go with the phrase, "Under the weather?"  I don't have any sick cards in my stash, so this was a good way to add some, especially since I decided to make two cards.

A2 size card
Black cardstock mat
Red striped patterned paper
Penguin from Jolly Holidays at 3-3/4", faux stitching on the umbrella
Yellow stickles on the nose and umbrella handle
Fiskars Cloud punch embossed with Cuttlebug Musical Flourish
Computer generated sentiment punched with Fiskars rectangle punch
Inside sentiment is a wooden stamp.

Our sponsor for this week's and next week's challenge is Robin's Nest, and they are generously providing a $50 gift certificate!!

You have one week to plan, create, and submit your project.  Remember to include which die cut you used and a link back to Die Cuttin' Divas.  You may enter up to 3 projects per challenge.  The prizes are for 2 weeks of challenges with the winner being announced every other week from two combined challenges.

Here's the second card I made.  This penguin was my first cut, which I thought was a bit small, but figured, why not make a second card.  I'm also trying to use up some of the MANY scraps I have.

We look forward to seeing your projects this week!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Get Well Card and New Blog Design

Look at this get well card I made for a friend.  She came home from the hospital this week.  I think she'll get a kick out of this.  You just gotta laugh, don't you?!  TFL.

I've been wanting to change the look of my blog, and I think I finally have something I like.  What do you think?  Your opinions are appreciated.  Thanks!
