Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #121

Hi Everyone!

Time for another Die Cuttin' Divas challenge.

This week's challenge...
Birthday with 3 embellishments
(that could mean 3 of the same type or 3 different ones, like buttons, brads, pearls, skittles, flowers, ribbon, etc.)

One of my co-workers just turned 40.  As a milestone birthday, I wanted to include the number 40 somewhere on my card.  Using several Cricut cartridges, here's what I made.

The card is 5x7.
This silhouette is Helen from the Suburbia cartridge, cut at 5".
The number 40 is cut from Sweet Treats, and I trimmed off the flame on the shadow.
Fabulous is from the Forever Young cart, and
the word "and" is from the Calligraphy cart.
The papers are from the Recollections Bold Basics paper pad, which I'm loving because it offers a number of patterns in the same color scheme that makes it so easy to coordinate.
Flowers are made with a Fiskars punch,
and I added 3 green pearls.

Here's the inside sentiment. (sorry it's blurry)

Tea Time

Hi Everyone,

I made this birthday card for a friend at work.  She collects teapots and teacups. This Cricut Suburbia cartridge is so much fun.  There are two tea-themed images on this cart (say that fast 3 times!).  This one is Nancy.  I'm not sure what Nancy is shhh-ing about, but bet we could have some fun with that!

Nancy is cut at 5-1/2".  The teapot is cut at 1-1/2".
Patterned paper is DCWV Lemon Flower Stack.
Other cardstock from stash.
Gold gems.

Having a bow maker certainly makes tying bows so easy now!

Stamps used:
Tea Time - The Paper Company, Coffee Cafe
Today Belongs to You - Inkadinkado, Thoughts for the Day
Happy Birthday - TPC Studio, Card Crafting Happy Birthday

Thanks for visiting; it's much appreciated!

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #119

Hello!

It's Tuesday and time for another
Die Cuttin' Divas challenge...

use Purple and Pearls

I just love how this card turned out! And I don't think I've ever had a card come together so easily. I wanted an image that was "cute," that when you see it, it makes you smile. I think this sweet owl fills the bill.  She's from Twinkle Toes cartridge and I cut her at 3-1/4".  The card is A2 size. The white mat is embossed with a new Cuttlebug folder called Charles.  Her eyes are from the PK Critter Face set. And the pearls are Recollections brads I just bought at Michael's. I bought all the purple paper there, too -- 6 for $1.00.  The sentiment is from MCT All Around Birthday Time, which is stamped on a punched circle, layered onto a scalloped circle (EK).

Graduation Time

It IS that time of year, and I needed another Graduation card.

I saw this card idea on Pinterest so I made one too.  I added the year and put the hat up top instead of at the bottom as I saw online.  Thought this sentiment was way too cute!

I used two different Cuttlebug folders. The one is Honeycomb used on the large gold background, and the second one is from Give a Hoot companion set.  It doesn't have its own name, but I love how it looks. Here's a better close-up shot.

I love embossing folders, and I really should use them more often!  Hope you liked my card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday!

It's time for another Die Cuttin' Divas challenge...

It's a Sketch Challenge!

I made this graduation card based on this sketch:

I used blue, gold and white cardstock scraps to make this card!  The blue background is embossed with Cuttlebug's Geometric Rings.  The grad cap was cut at 2" from the Wrap It Up cartridge.  The sentiment is a wooden $1.00 stamp from Michael's and I stickled the stars in it.  Then I made the other blue stars with a punch, and added some gold gems where needed.
