Center Step Card

I made this center step card for a friend's birthday.

The patterned papers are My Mind's Eye Hootenanny, and I also used yellow, white, red, and green cardstock.

I used dies and stamps from My Creative Time:

Speech Bubble Sentiments
(and coordinating dies)
Wow So Many Candles
Stitched XL Label Die
XL Label Die
Stitched Party Dies
Build a Banner Kit
Lowercase Fun Dies

Popped up the center piece with foam squares.
Added Heidi Grace metal adhesive dots, and some twine.

DCD Challenge #171

This week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is

I vow to thee my Country
(inspired by the country you live in)

This card was made using the Cricut cartridge Stand and Salute for the statue and word.  The city scene is from Plantin Schoolbook.

I actually like the plain and simple look to this card, what do you think?

Hope you'll join in the challenge this week, and make a card, layout or project that is inspired by your home country.  Be sure to use a die cut in your creation and link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog site.

Thanks and hope you'll leave a comment while you're here.

Things with Wings!

This week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is

"Things with Wings"

I made this gift tag using My Creative Time Tag Die, Stitched Curly Label Die, and Pretty Butterflies and Dragonfly die.  Added some ribbon, twine, gems, and stickles.  Layered the dragonfly so I could bend up the wings on the top layer.

We hope you'll join the challenge this week and submit your card, layout or altered project following the theme, "Things with Wings."  Be sure to include a die cut in your creation and link your post back to Die Cuttin' Divas blogspot.

Thanks so much for visiting and for your comments.

Sketch Challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas

This week brings a
SKETCH CHALLENGE

For my die cuts, I used the Art Philosophy cartridge for the double ovals and the Father's Day cartridge for the recliner.  This is a 5-1/2" square card.  The patterned cardstock is from DCWV Grade School.  I used some Skittles from my friend Carri at Doubleclick AKA Busy Bee.

I think I'll use this for my husband's Father's Day Card.  He deserves at least one day to relax, haha!

Here's the sketch created by our Hosting Diva, Georgiana.

Join in the challenge this week and make a card, layout or project using the above sketch.  Be sure to use a die-cut in your creation and link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog site.

One more view from the side so you can see that the recliner is popped up on foam squares as is the "Relax" tag that I typed on my computer and punched out using a "brick" Fiskars punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
