 Hi Everyone!

It's Tuesday and time for
another challenge at

This week's challenge is...
Fall Colors

I used the Cricut Lite cartridge Celebrate with Flourish to cut the leaves.  Patterned paper is from DCWV Amber Autumn matstack.  The stamps are $1.00 stamps.  Was having trouble getting the card to look the way I wanted UNTIL I added the burlap.  Just love that!

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week.  Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team.

Teen Angel

Here's a cute card I made for a friend to give to her teenage daughter, who is of course, still her baby angel!

The silhouette, hearts, and peace symbol were cut from Cricut Groovy Times cartridge.  I fussy cut the shirt after printing the name on patterned paper.  The winged hearts is a border cut that came from the Winter Frolic cartridge.

On the inside, left, I made a pocket for a gift card.

I'd like to enter these challenges:
DL Art Linky party
Just B Creative - Linky Party
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Apple Dandy!

Hi Everyone!

It's Tuesday and time for

This week's challenge is...
Use an apple

I used Country Life for the apples which were cut at 3-1/4" for this A2 size card.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Amber Autumn.  Stitched label die from My Creative Time, and I added 3 flower button brads.  All the cardstock was from my scraps file except for the plaid paper--I took that from the matstack.

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week.

It's Teddy Bear Day!

And that's the challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas!

Use a Teddy Bear

I made this card for my hubby's birthday, aka Sugar Bear, using the Teddy Bears on Parade cartridge. This is the "tourist" bear without the camera and an umbrella drink because I wanted to mimic the look of the Dude in the movie, the Big Lebowski, one of my husband's favorite movies.

Ingredients:
Brown, black, silver, and cream cardstock
Oval from Art Philosophy cart
Two green papers are from my scraps
Tree pattern is DCWV Green Stack
Metal brads
Cuttlebug Diamond Plate embossing folder used on the oval
Sizzix Wild Dashes used on the green background
Foam squares to pop up the oval

In case you'd like to know...

National Teddy Bear Day takes place in the US on September 9th. Initially a US specific holiday this is increasingly being celebrated by bear lovers across the world. There appears to be no record of the origin of this holiday or why this particular date was chosen - perhaps the bears themselves know?

Teddy bears are, of course, named after US President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt. The name came about after a 1902 hunting expedition. The hunt had found no game, so at the end of the day someone brought out a baby bear and suggested that Roosevelt might like to shoot it instead. Roosevelt understandably felt that this was not exactly sporting and refused. The incident was illustrated in a newspaper cartoon entitled "Drawing the Line" - which also referred to the political situation at the time. An enterprising New York toymaker saw an opportunity and brought out a cute stuffed bear named "Teddy's Bear". The rest, as the say, is history.

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week.
