Die Cuttin' Divas Anything Goes Challenge

Welcome back for another challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas.
This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES!

It's that time of year, and I needed a graduation card for my cousin's daughter who majored in fashion design.  I thought the Forever Young cartridge would be perfect for this card.

I cut the model at 5" and the word "fashionista" at 5" fit to length. The graduation cap came from Wrap It Up and that was cut at 1".  I used some pink glitter glue on the tassel, and embossed the blue background with Victoria Cuttlebug folder.  I did a little fenagling to get the cap on the model's head (hair), but do love how it turned out.  Here's a few close-up shots.

The sponsor this week is Joy's Life.  She will be offering one of her newly released stamp sets to the lucky winner.

Do hope you'll join us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.  The challenge is Anything Goes.  You'll have one week to create your card, layout, or altered project, letting us know which die cut you used, and please link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog.

Thanks for stopping by--hope you'll join DCD this week.

Go Shopping!!!

Hi Everyone!

In case you don't know, Joann's Fabrics is having a fabulous sale on their papercrafting supplies--lowest price of the season.  Most items are 50% off, yes 5-0-% off!! I'm dying!  That applies to paper, stickers, stamps, punches, embellishments and more.  Some exclusions apply (I sound like an advertisement).  The sale ends 6/9/12.

Provocraft accessories (Cuttlebug folders, etc) are 40% off, and Cricut cartridges are $34.99 (at least in Maryland) through Memorial Day.

So if you have a Joann's near you, be sure to get out there and shop this weekend.  And if you don't, then go online.  I'm sure if you're like me, you don't want to pass up these great bargains!!

Come back and share what you got! Happy Shopping.

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge

Hi Everyone!

We have a recipe challenge this week.
Banner, buttons, and/or birthday.

I incorporated all 3 into my card!

I used the Country Life cartridge for the triangle banner with a scalloped banner border. The letters were cut out on each flag, so I just had to use a bright colored cardstock to show through.  Popped up the flags and added a button to each end.  The oval was made with a Marvy punch and the scalloped oval with Spellbinders Nestabilities.
The flowered paper is K&Co Watercolor double-sided designer paper.  Isn't it pretty?

Our sponsor this week is 3 Girl Jam, providing some fabulous ribbon!.

We hope you'll enter the challenge this week!  Think about banners, buttons and/or birthdays when making your card, layout, or altered project.  Please be sure to use a die cut and link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog.

We look forward to seeing what you create!

Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #65

Hi Everyone!
Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge.

This week the theme is FLOWERS.

(don't you just love embossing folders?!)

I used Country Life cartridge to cut the hills and sun.
Put the 3-piece hill together and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Herringbone embossing folder.
On the sun, I used a Sizzix Tim Holtz embossing folder, Mini-Rays.
The stamp is from Michael's $1 bin.

The flowers are from our sponsor this week, Circle B Enterprises!

Hope you'll join us for this theme challenge using FLOWERS.

You will have one week to plan, create, and submit your project. The winner will be announced next Tuesday. Please remember to include which die-cut you used and a link back to Die Cuttin' Divas.

Thanks for stopping by!

For all those Mother's Day challenges

PHRASES!

I knew I bought this cart for a good reason.  I just love words and phrases written in cursive, and this one is certainly no exception.  Isn't this so pretty?  Especially with the rose!  I love how this card turned out.

Ingredients for card:
5x6.5 pre-scored white card
Green patterned cardstock from DCWV Lemon Flower Stack
Yellow cardstock from my scraps, embossed the yellow strip at the bottom with Cuttlebug Polka Dots.
Added some red scalloped ribbon, white lace on top of that
Then embossed a strip of black cardstock with Sizzix Powdered Sugar.
"Mother" is cut from Phrases cart at 2-1/2" with 2 shadows.
Really liking that effect!

I'd like to enter this Mother's Day themed card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by, and I wish all the moms out there a

Happy Mother's Day!!
