For all those Mother's Day challenges

I knew I bought this cart for a good reason.  I just love words and phrases written in cursive, and this one is certainly no exception.  Isn't this so pretty?  Especially with the rose!  I love how this card turned out.

Ingredients for card:
5x6.5 pre-scored white card
Green patterned cardstock from DCWV Lemon Flower Stack
Yellow cardstock from my scraps, embossed the yellow strip at the bottom with Cuttlebug Polka Dots.
Added some red scalloped ribbon, white lace on top of that
Then embossed a strip of black cardstock with Sizzix Powdered Sugar.
"Mother" is cut from Phrases cart at 2-1/2" with 2 shadows.
Really liking that effect!

I'd like to enter this Mother's Day themed card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by, and I wish all the moms out there a

Happy Mother's Day!!

  1. Very pretty. Do the phrses cut easily? I always worry when it comes to intricate cuts.

P.S. Just sent you an email.

  2. I need this cartridge! Thanks so much for joining us at Exploring Cricut.

  3. The phrases will cut great as long as you have a sharp blade and your cardstock is affixed firmly to your cutting mat. That's where I've run into problems, when the paper starts moving around. I also slow down the speed to 3. And sometimes, depending on the thickness of the paper, I will multi-cut the phrase twice.

  4. This is oh so very pretty!!! I think I need this cartridge!! Thank you so very much for joining our challenge at Exploring Cricut!!!! :)

  5. Gorgeous card! I love the shadow feature too! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

  6. very nice simple but effective design!
