Valentine's Birthday!

Hi Everyone!

I recently purchased the Suburbia cartridge and had the perfect reason to use it--to make a birthday card for my sister.  When I first saw this cart, I just loved all the 60's style images on it.  It really took me back to my "very" early childhood days.  So I thought my sister would get a kick out of it, too.  Here's the card I made for her birthday, which was on Valentine's Day!

The card is 5 x 6.5"
I covered the front completely with K & Co Valentine paper.
Used Elegant Edges to make the pink frame w/shadow, cut at 5-1/4" and embossed with my new Cuttlebug Baby's Breath embossing folder.
From the Suburbia cartridge, I cut "Joan" at 4" with shadow, and the lettering at 2".  The words were originally stacked together, but I didn't use them that way.
Tiny hearts were made with a punch and then stickled.

On the inside, I layered white on pink on black.  Used an EK Success birthday candle border punch across the top.  Isn't that just so cute!? I love it!

I'd like to enter the following challenges with this card:
Paper Playtime - use border punch
Oldie but a Goodie - red & pink, use something at least 6 months old
(the red valentine's paper is at least a year old)
Crafting by Designs - include a heart, but not for V-Day

Thanks for stopping by!
