Top of the Morning to You!

Hi Everyone,
This week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is...

Luck of the Irish
Make something with an Irish symbol (Rainbow, Leprechaun, Pot of Gold, Shamrock, etc)

Here's my card.

It was made using a Sizzix circle flip card die I recently purchased on Amazon.  It includes the framework for the card as well as all the circle dies.

The hat, banner and button dies are from My Creative Time.

So is the circle sentiment and the small shamrock on the flip side.

The one thing I'm not sure I like about this die is that it doesn't really allow you to put anything else on the inside flap.  If you do, it won't be hidden, or else has to be only as big as the circle.  Know what I mean?  Anyone have experience using this? Tell me what you do for the inside of the card, I'd like to know.

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week and create a card, layout or altered project using an Irish symbol.  Put your green thinking cap on and play!  Be sure to use a die cut and link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog.  We look forward to seeing what you make!

Thanks for stopping by.

  9. Beautiful card! That's a really cool die - giving you all the pieces you need. I bet you'll make lots of cards with this one.

You can write (sideways) on the middle part of the card and it won't be seen. You can also write on the back of the card. I guess this kind of card would be best for instances where you don't need to write a lot. You can also just sign the card in the space that would be hidden, and include a separate note in the envelope to say whatever else you want to say to that person. People love letters!

Anyway, thanks for linking your awesome card to Cut it Up's Green challenge!

  10. Love this card! I know what you mean about not having much space to write. I have a cartridge with a design like this. I cut a circle from a light, plain cs a little larger that peeks out behind the circle in the design. That gives me a place to stamp or write a sentiment. However, like you said, it isn't much room; but then again, when the card is this cute you don't need to write much! ; )
