And I Ain't Lion!

I made this easel birthday card for a woman at work.  My goal was to make a cute card and I just loved this lion on the Life's a Party cart that I recently purchased.

This is an A2 size easel card, using green cardstock as my base.
The design paper is from DCWV Stack 7 and the colors in it were a perfect background for my lion.

The sentiment is a wooden stamp I bought at Joann's, punched with my Marvy oval punch.

For the inside sentiments, I typed both on my computer and printed them onto gold cardstock.  The border punch is Fiskars used on the dark orange cardstock and then layered with the designer paper, and the  Happy Birthday sentiment.

I used foam squares to pop up the lion and the oval sentiment.

A last minute touch was to use Glossy Accents on the lion's eyes and nose.  And it really made such a difference!

I'm entering this card in the challenge at
Little Scrap Pieces - Make it Sparkle

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  3. This is super cute. I haven't been able to make much lately, but I am looking forward to the near future when I will have the time again. Not much time today with Kyle's 18th birthday, but maybe tonight if we don't get back too late.
