We've got a new challenge for you at Die Cuttin' Divas this week. The challenge is to use an edge punch and ribbon in your project.
-------------------------------------
I made some tags. I've had these tags in my stash for probably 2 years now. They measure about 4" x 2-3/8". I decided it was time to use them. They started out looking like this.
And they ended up looking like this.
As you can see, I used ribbon on each tag, and an edge punch on three of the tags. I'll share the ingredients for each tag separately, so you can jump to the one you're interested in, or just look at the photos!
Let me tell you first that our sponsor for this challenge (and last week's challenge) is The Robin's Nest, and they are generously providing a $50 gift certificate!!
We hope you'll join the challenge this week and submit your card, layout, or altered project using ribbon and an edge punch. You have one week to plan, create, and submit your project. Remember to include which die cut you used and a link back to Die Cuttin' Divas. You may enter up to 3 projects per challenge. The prizes span two weeks of challenges with a winner being announced every other week from two combined challenges.
Be sure to check out all the Design Team's projects for some inspiration!
Now, a little note to say that I recently won some goodies from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces, which included all the beautiful crinkle ribbon you see on my tags (excluding the brown ribbon), and a great embossing folder used on the purple tag. Thanks, Karen!

EK Success scalloped edge punch used on the striped paper.
Ribbon from Little Scrap Pieces (LSP)
Scalloped heart cut from Doodlecharms at 3"
White heart cut at 2-1/2", both on pg. 85
My Cricut ran off the card stock when cutting the scalloped heart, but I actually liked how it looked on the tag, so I went with it!
Funny how that worked out!!
For You:
Cut mat from brown cardstock and punched the bottom edge with MS Eyelet Lace punch.
Patterned paper on top of that.
Brown ribbon from my stash.
EK Success label punch.
Stamp is $1.00 wooden stamp that I've had for a long time.
Blue Liquid pearls.
Flower from LSP.
Hello Friend:
Crinkle ribbon from LSP.
I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the
Sizzix Flower Vine Embossing Folder (courtesy of Karen, LSP), and then lightly inked it with victorian violet ink.
No edge punch was used on this tag, but the decorative flower is a die cut from the Sizzix Decorative Frames Set.
Stampendous clear stamps.
Purple flower and brad.
Happy Birthday:
Used the Fiskars grass punch on yellow, green, and patterned cardstock, then turned the punched pieces upside down and layered them on the tag.
Yellow ribbon from LSP.
Fiskars Scalloped Oval Punches, sizes medium and large.
Happy Birthday wooden stamp.
I'm entering my tags in the following challenges:
Hiding in My Craft Room - make or use a tag
Little Scrap Pieces - use a flower
