Top of the Morning to You!

Hi Everyone,
This week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is...

Luck of the Irish
Make something with an Irish symbol (Rainbow, Leprechaun, Pot of Gold, Shamrock, etc)

Here's my card.

It was made using a Sizzix circle flip card die I recently purchased on Amazon.  It includes the framework for the card as well as all the circle dies.

The hat, banner and button dies are from My Creative Time.

So is the circle sentiment and the small shamrock on the flip side.

The one thing I'm not sure I like about this die is that it doesn't really allow you to put anything else on the inside flap.  If you do, it won't be hidden, or else has to be only as big as the circle.  Know what I mean?  Anyone have experience using this? Tell me what you do for the inside of the card, I'd like to know.

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week and create a card, layout or altered project using an Irish symbol.  Put your green thinking cap on and play!  Be sure to use a die cut and link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog.  We look forward to seeing what you make!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi, it's Tuesday!

Time for a new Die Cuttin' Divas challenge.

Thanks, first, for all the entries we received for last week's sketch challenge!  We enjoyed seeing all of them!

This week's challenge is...
use the colors green and gold.

I made this card using a 5x7" card base and covered it completely with a page from a Scrapbooking desk calendar my daughter gave me for Christmas one year.  The papers are all 5.5x7" with all kinds of patterns, relative to the seasons, holidays, etc.

Then I used my Martha Stewart punch around the page Doily Lace punch for the gold mat.

The boy holding a shamrock was cut from A Child's Year (there's a girl image, too) at 2-3/4" with shadow.  Decided to cut a green shamrock separately and stickled it.

The stamp is a wooden one I've had for some time.  Stamped it on white cardstock, rounded the corners, and made my own shadow.  I really like the sentiment.

Our sponsor for this challenge is...
Little Scrap Pieces!

We hope you'll join us for the challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas. You'll have one week to enter your card, layout, or altered project.  Please remember to include which die cut you used and provide a link back to our site.

We look forward to seeing what you create!

and thanks for stopping by.

A St. Patty's Day Card

Hi Everyone,

I made my first St. Patrick's Day card.  It is 5x6.5".  I cut the shamrocks from Celebrate with Flourish at 4" and the zig-zag mat from Elegant Edges at 5".  The patterned paper is from DCWV Seasons stack.  The sentiment stamp is Studio G clear stamp and the inside sentiment is a wooden stamp from Michael's.

I'm joining the following challenges:

Scrappy Moms - St. Patrick's Day
Creative Cutter Room - St. Patrick's Day
Fantabulous Cricut - Shamrock or Color Green
Bitten by the Bug 2 - Green and Shamrock
Whimsical Wednesdays - Color Green

Love to hear from you -- thanks for stopping by!
