A Big Hello to All!!
It's a color challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.
Use red, white, and blue!
and add a patriotic symbol, if you'd like.
Here's my card.
I used the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge and cut the Liberty Bell at 5" on grey cardstock which I inked generously with Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink. Shadow was cut on black cardstock. This is a cartridge I've had for months now and just used it for the first time. Looking at all the images in the handbook gave me such a patriotic feeling---it really is a great cartridge!
The patterned paper is from K&Co Americana 12x12 paper pad. The design is just as shown with stars at the top and stripes at the bottom; I just cut it to fit the 5x7 card which is kraft cardstock. I cut an off-white piece of cardstock as the mat. Used some of my red, white, and blue twine that I just won from
My Craft Spot and added some star gems.
On the inside, I cut the phrase that goes with the image. It's cut at 2-3/4" in grey cardstock with a black shadow. Added a red star gem as the "dot" on the "i". Used the same off-white cardstock for this mat as the front and punched the corners with a Fiskars Americana corner punch--isn't that the perfect punch for this card?

So we hope you'll join us this week for the color challenge. Use red, white, and blue in your card, layout, or altered project. Be sure to also use a die cut and link your post back to Die Cuttin' Divas by July 9.
Thanks for stopping by; I really appreciate it!
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
BB2B - Patriotic challenge
Made Especially for You - 4th of July
Paper Playtime - Red, white, and blue w/a diecut
More Than Favors - 4th of July theme

Very patriotic. Glad you decided to use this cart. I think I have that same corner punch and have only used it once or twice. I guess that is what happens when you have lots of toys. : )
