Another Wedding Card

We had another wedding in our family this past Sunday -- my cousin's daughter was married.   Her colors were pink, white and navy blue.  I made this card for the new couple.

I really like using these birds for a wedding card.  They're from Celebrate with Flourish.  The plain oval was made using a punch, and the scalloped oval with a Spellbinders die. Background glitter paper was embossed with Kassie's Brocade, and I used Divine Swirls on the doves wings. The stamp is from a Fiskars Wedding set.

I appreciate your stopping by!

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #83

We've got a real fun challenge this week at

Use an elephant in your project!

Elephant Appreciation Day was declared beginning in 1996 by WildHeart® Productions to celebrate the elephant every September 22.

I made this sweet card using the elephant from the Lite Twinkle Toes cartridge.  I was really surprised to learn how many different Cricut cartridges contain an elephant.  Some of them are Birthday Cakes, Celebrate with Flourish, New Arrival, and Paisley.

Our sponsor this week is Cutting Bugs

They are providing the September 2012 issue of either Cricut Magazine OR Cards Magazine (winner's choice),

and a multi-pack Megan Elizabeth Sparkle Light Set.

Go check out their online store!

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week and create a card, layout, or project using an elephant.  Be sure to use a die cut and link your post back to Die Cuttin' Divas.

Looking forward to seeing what you create.

Die Cuttin' Divas Color Challenge

Hi Everyone!

It's Tuesday, so you know what that means!

Time for another Die Cuttin' Divas challenge.   Use the colors of your local school or favorite college.  And be sure to name your school--we want to give credit where credit is due.

A local college in my area is Towson State University in Towson, Maryland.  I didn't go there, but I  actually used to work there years ago, fresh out of high school.  It was my first "real" full-time job.  And it turned out to be a pretty good one, too, as I wound up working there for 9 years!

Towson's colors are black, gold, and white.  Here's the card I made using those colors, and keeping it kind of clean and simple.

I used Art Philosophy cartridge for the framed oval, a new Cuttlebug embossing folder called Wicker Weave on the white cardstock, and an EK Success corner punch for the corners!

On the inside, I put this sentiment.

The sentiments are from TPC Studio Card Crafting Thank You (set of 6 stamps).

Our sponsor this week is SK Digis, an online digital store.

Sonia will be providing a gift certificate to her store.  Go check out her creations.

We hope you'll join the challenge this week.  Make a project using the colors of your local school or favorite college.  Tell us the name of the school and the die cut you used.  Be sure to link your post (not just your blog) back to Die Cuttin' Divas.

Can't wait to see what you create!
