DCD Challenge

Hi Everyone!

Tuesday brings another new challenge at

Use an umbrella in your project.

Looking for umbrella ideas, I really liked this cute bird I found on the 3 Birds on Parade Cricut cartridge.

4.5 x 6" kraft card base
Bird cut at 4.25
Fiskars cloud punch
Wooden stamp from Joann's
Foam squares to pop up the bird and sentiment

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas and make a card, layout, or altered project using an umbrella.  Be sure to use a die cut and link your post back to DCD's blog.

I hope my card gave you a laugh today; appreciate your visits and comments.

Thanks for stopping by.

Another Flip Card

This is the second card I've made using my SIZZIX flip-it die. The die is so easy to use--just run it through your Big Kick or similar cutter, fold and decorate it!  Click here to see the Sizzix flip-it cards, but also check Amazon for price.

As you can see, I've used a lot of My Creative Time dies.  I've become hooked on Emma's products recently when I made some purchases during her "new release" sales.  Can't beat 20% off!  I love her  signature stitching on the dies.

On the inside of the circle, all the scalloped circles are ones that came with the flip-it die.  See my previous post showing the 11-piece die set for this particular card.

The patterned paper is Ki Argyle Paper Pad by Hampton Art.  Can't say I've ever heard of them before, and now I'm trying to remember where I bought this--possibly Target.  All the small solids are from my scraps.

This card stands up nicely when opened and makes a great 3-D keepsake for the recipient to enjoy.

I hope you enjoyed my card; thanks so much for stopping by.

Snack Lovers' Day

This week at Die Cuttin' Divas is a

Snack Lover's Challenge
(use a favorite snack in your project)

I made this shaker card, my first one!

I love when I can make a card with a perfect sentiment, and I think this is one.  This sentiment is from Bug Bites Candy Speaks.  I also had the Crunch Bar stamp in my collection.  So I put them in a jar that came from Kate's ABC's cartridge.

Come join in the fun challenge this week and create a card, layout, or altered project using your favorite snack (any snack will do, of course). Be sure to use a die cut and link your post back to Die Cuttin' Divas blog site.

I'd like to link my card to the following challenges;
Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday
Pumpkin Spice - Anything Goes

Top of the Morning to You!

Hi Everyone,
This week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is...

Luck of the Irish
Make something with an Irish symbol (Rainbow, Leprechaun, Pot of Gold, Shamrock, etc)

Here's my card.

It was made using a Sizzix circle flip card die I recently purchased on Amazon.  It includes the framework for the card as well as all the circle dies.

The hat, banner and button dies are from My Creative Time.

So is the circle sentiment and the small shamrock on the flip side.

The one thing I'm not sure I like about this die is that it doesn't really allow you to put anything else on the inside flap.  If you do, it won't be hidden, or else has to be only as big as the circle.  Know what I mean?  Anyone have experience using this? Tell me what you do for the inside of the card, I'd like to know.

We hope you'll join in the challenge this week and create a card, layout or altered project using an Irish symbol.  Put your green thinking cap on and play!  Be sure to use a die cut and link your post back to the Die Cuttin' Divas blog.  We look forward to seeing what you make!

Thanks for stopping by.
